Kellum Receptionists

Marsha Ambroise

My name is Marsha Ambroise and I am a second year Criminology major with a minor in Philosophy and Sociology. I usually spend time watching movies, relaxing or cooking new Caribbean dishes. Aside from the fact my mom wanted me to go to FSU, I chose Florida State because their criminology program is number 6 in the country! I have wanted to be a lawyer since seven years old and couldn't have imagined a better school to further my education. There is a plethora of things I hope to do in the future which include traveling, meeting new people and giving back to different countries. I am an enthusiastic person and I can't wait to meet you all!! :)

Stacy Burke

Hello! I'm Stacy, a Sophmore here at Florida State, and a second year resident in Kellum Hall. I am Hall Government President forKellum, but this isn't my first rodeo. Last year I was the Eco-Rep for the hall as well. I work at the front desk helping residents as they come and go and enjoy decorating while on the job and crafting in general when not at the desk. I am a dedicated Scout involved in a Venture Crew, so I also extremely enjoy hiking, camping, and building enormous bonfires. I don't hail from any particular city because I'm a military brat, but I'm technically a Cali-girl who has relocated more than a dozen times. I enjoy Hershey's chocolate, We the Kings music, and writing letters to my many pen pals in my spare time, and I am very pleased to meet you.

Hannah Klein

Hi, friend! My name is Hannah, and I am a 5th year senior here at FSU double majoring in Japanese w/ Business and Geology. My dream is to work for a socially responsible international corporation that focuses on designing and constructing large scale green projects like dams, skyscrapers, bridges, and airports. I was a Resident Assistant for 2 years at FSU before becoming a receptionist at Kellum Hall. When I get some down time I love to cook. My specialty is vegetarian quinoa chili and quinoa-tofu gyoza. (mmmmm!) :) If I weren't in school you would probably find me adventuring around the world, eating and photographing everything in sight.

Michael Braun

Hey everyone! My name is Michael Braun and I’m a receptionist here at Kellum Hall! I am a sophomore from Pembroke Pines, FL majoring in Finance. In my spare time I enjoy running, hanging out with friends, and exploring Tallahassee. I will be running the Atlanta Marathon at the end of October, and that will be my first marathon. I ran cross country in high school and have completed six half marathons. If money was not an issue, I would be off traveling the world, first starting off by backpacking through Europe. My dream is to one day visit all 50 states and all the continents except Antarctica. I love watching Modern Family and Parks and Recreation. My favorite band in Coldplay, and I listen to them often while working on homework. I really don’t know what I want to do with a finance degree yet, but I do know that after graduation that I want to move out of Florida. I love Florida State and I enjoying just walking around our beautiful campus, especially on a beautiful winter day.

Shannon Hourican

Hello, my name is Shannon Hourican. Right now I work as a receptionist at Kellum Hall, an on-campus resident hall, where I have learned life skills like customer service and teamwork. I study Economics and International Affairs at Florida State University, in order to fulfill my dream of becoming an international banker at a prestigious bank. This has always been a dream of mine because I love that in economics you can take simple principles and apply them to every aspect of your life around the world. In my free time, I love watching movies like Something Borrowed and Fast and the Furious, while cuddled up in a blanket eating ice cream. I also love cheering my favorite football teams. GO NOLES!!!!!!

Katie Wetzel

My name is Katie, and I'm a senior studying International Affairs and English (EWM). I'm usually swamped with reading, but in my spare time I try to watch as much Netflix as possible. As an Army brat, I've done a lot of moving and traveling and don't think I ever plan on stopping. I have a minor in French, and my favorite thing in the world is food. If I had to choose one last meal, it would be Ikea meatballs.
